    HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL This manual is designed to suit the needs of mechanics at all levels of experience with the E-Z-GO 4-cycle engine.     ENGINE DISASSEMBLY Remove the Crankcase End Cover Because the pistons, rods, and caps were machined and have established (See Fig. B-1 "Engine Components" on page B-4) wear patterns as assemblies, it is critical to the life expectancy (See Fig. B-2 "Engine Components con't" on page B-5) and performance of the engine that they are reassembled with their original mates and in their original positions.

In California, the engine must be designed, built and equipped to meet the State's stringent anti-smog standards.
